Picked up some H110 planning to load for my vaquero. Then looked at Hodgdon's site. They say Ruger Blackhawk,Contender for the hot loads. Can my Vaquero handle the H110 loads? Thanks

My thinking is that at least certain years/models are not ment for 'Ruger only' loads. For the most part one can do just fine with mid power loads with Unique or a similar powder.

I don't have my numbers here, but I chony'd some H-110/296 and some Unique loads out of my 45 Redhawk & the Unique loads did well at the mid level.

I beleive the Vaquero can handle the loads, Its "New Model Vaqueros" that are the waeker variant as they were produced mainly for SASS and lighter loads.

This is what I was told by Ruger when I had my old model 45 Colt. I was shooting some Corbon in mine. There were the hottest loads I could find. I believe they made the same statement about what guns to shoot it in. I contacted them also and was told I was good to go.
