Case trimmers...Any Opinions?

I am thinking of purchasing a Forster Case Trimmer and the accessories with it. Have any of you had any experience with this brand. Please let me know your thoughts about this product. Where can I get this the cheapest? I found this in a Sinclair catalog. Thanks Steve

I have 3 of them. they do a decent job of case trimming, I also have the neck turner, and although it works ok, I now use a K&M for that job, and a Wilson trimmer for the 6ppc bench rifle. The oldest of the trimmers, I've had since I started reloading, something on the order of 30 years or so. I think you would be satisfied with one.

I have a Forster and RCBS case trimers . The Forster is better overall.
For best prices, MidSouth Shouters Supply, Natchez, or Midway.

If you do any volume reloading the Gracey is by far the best. It can trim and deburr 4-500 cases per hour. I always dreaded trimming and the subsequent deburring. The Gracey makes it just a simple, quick step in the reloading process.

PS The carbide cutter is worth the extra cost.

Jack! Just curious if the Gracey can be attached to my RCBS case trimmer motor. I checked out the Gracey on a couple of websites and it looks like it might be possible. No sense in spending the extra money on the motor if I don't need to. Case prep is absolutely the most tedious (and arguably most important) part of the reloading process.

Hi- I still have a Forster case trimmer I purchased in the 80's. Works great and its easy to adjust, and I get consistant trim lenghts. I only shoot rifles, and rarely load much over 100 rounds a time. I has served me well for ths purpose.

The Forster and RCBS both do a good job. I have both of them and am quite satisfied. The Gracey is better yet, but it's pricey. Using the various power attachments to drive them takes a lot of the labor out of the process. Best wishes.

I am sure it could be done, but might be a lot of work. The biggest problem might be getting someone to sell just the trimmer.
