I've had pretty good luck with CCI Standard Velocity. My FVSR loves them. I've tried different subsonic HPs but they're just not as accurate. Accuracy is more important to me than terminal than a marginally better terminal ballistics. I've killed tons of little critters with the Standards. Even 2 Coyotes in last winter while coon Hunting. They both didn't make it more than 100 yds with lung shots. But they were both still alive and suffering. That's certainly not ideal, but good enough with a subsonic 22. I'd say get a couple rounds and see what works best for you. If HP's are just a little worse off then, it might be worth using them.
