Ceramic Tile Flooring

I did a small bathroom as a practice session for doing my kitchen. Just a little honey do project to prepare her for this upcoming season. I will never do that again. I will pay it done. To all those that do this as a means of income, I have only one thing to say.

I hope it's not too difficult, I'm preparing to lay down about 1700 sq. feet of the stuff. Not to mention about 1200 sq. ft of engineered hardwood flooring.

RagnCajn its not that bad if you do it every day. You just dont know all the tricks of the trade. Its still hard work theres not alot of short cuts if you do good work.

At first I said "what's ceramic tile doing on PM?"
but the pictures are great, and come to think about it--I need to tear the old tile out of a falling apart shower so that I can get contractor in to do their tile magic at my place.

Where you work Bob?

Bopeye
i work at a place called United States Ceramic Tile in
East Sparta Ohio,,,we make mostly 4 1/4" and 6" tile and all the trim tile to match,,most all of our trim is made by hand any more,,,we use to have some nice looking stuff UNTIL the damn spainards bought us and it went to hell real quick,,they bought us so they could get the Home depot and Lowes contracts and then make all of our tile cheaper in their spain and brazil plants but they found out after 4 years that they just couldnt do it worth a damn,,they laid people off for 3 years and called everyone back because they were ready to lose the big contracts and now i guess there is a tile plant in Canada that closed it's doors and we are supposed to get all their work,,so now they have to hire more people,,which is good i guess,,,i was a maintenance man for 5 years and now i basically fill in where ever they are short on people,,now that most of the new people are trained i dont have to work as much,,i was eorking a ton and that got old REAL QUICK,,,im to old(45) and crippled(5 hip replacements) to work like that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just wondering Bob. I'm a supervisor over the Powder Prepartion and Press Deptartments of Crossville Porcelain Stone. Those bathrooms look alot like what we make.

We are from 3x3 all the way up to 24"x24". We make all the trim and bullnose to match as well.

Give it a looksee.....I believe our website is http://www.crossvilleinc.com/
It's an interactive site where you can make a room look like you want too. Let's you know kind of what you are getting into. The stuff isn't cheap, but at least we are American owned and American made.......an oddity anymore.

Bopeye the tile Dist. I buy from carries Crossville so it's very possible that it is the same tile I don't remember we did that job a couple of years ago. We do install a lot of Crossville tile, thats cool that you work there its a small world. Chris,

Now I know who to make a complaint to when my lot are not matching /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I hope our product is top notch for you. Those pictures helped me to see that some people really know how to bring out the best in our tile.
