Anyone tried it? I went to Hodgon reloading and they have loads for 50gr and up. I wanted to load up some 40 gr. V-Max so I'm not to sure where to start. 50 grain bullets are 24.1 to 26.2, I was thinking around 22gr to start. CFE's not on my burn rate chart so I would be guessing. Think thats a safe place to start??

Thanks 5spd but it won't pull up on my computer. Been there three times trying to pull up cfe223 and it isn't there. I used your link three times and cfe isn't on the list when I use 40 grain bullet in a 222 Remington. I'll try once more.

Went back and ask for all info data, still nothing for a 40 grain pill and cfe223??? IDK Thanks anyway!

Not sure if your numbers are correct 5spd. I have two Hornady manuals and 40 gr bullets are not listed with CFE or BLc-2. If you go up to a 45 grain bullet, max load for a 45 grain bullet is only 25.5 grains. 29 grains sound a little hot. Still yet, IDK but thanks.

Went back yet again. The 222 Rem mag has load data for BLc-2 very similar to what you told me. It was 27.5/30.

I sure feel like a dummy, I was reading .222 and looking at .223...sorry for that. I read to fast sometimes...aagh!

In my .222 I ran 23g blc2 w/the 50s, so extrapolating the powder I would give it a shot at 21-22g starting.
