If I were buy a Shaw, it will leave me with extra money to buy more tomato juice for bullet testing. I could be famous on the internet for my wisdom gained from the experience. And I'll also have extra money for airplane tickets. Win win.

But it probably ain't gonna' happen when there are far better choices available in barrels than one that is just a small step above a mass-produced factory grade barrel. Granted others might cost more, but I'm a firm believer in that you get what you pay for. Cheaper is very seldom better. In spite of what you might read on the internet from experts who travel that road frequently and who want to be relevant.

Have a nice day, Dusty. Make some red mist to calm your nerves.

Right you are! But look at the clowns that still want to badmouth them! Tsk. Perhaps we should be thankful that only the most mentally impoverished are such a fan of whining all the time.

I don't always knock them, though I have had dealings with them years ago. The rifle I had them rebarrel was a POS (IMO)after they did the rebarrel job. I know your a huge fan of their barrels, as you often remind us how good you believe them to be. I am happy that you enjoy them. I got burned once by them and just have a hard time giving them a second chance when there are so may other gunsmiths with great reputations and other barrel makers that produce excellent barrels.

My apologies. I was referring to only one particular poster and he knows who he is.

Yeah, I know that there are those that have had some not so good Shaw barrels. And once bitten twice shy I am too. But I have been fortunate to never have had a bad one. Everyone has just shot great, been easy to clean, and well worth what I paid for it. I really am not one for brand loyalty as I buy what I like and what works for me. If money was no object then likely all of my rifles would have $600 barrels on them I imagine. But until the day comes when I personally have an issue with ER Shaw barrels I am going to keep buying them. And recommending them as well. You betcha.

Rusty, I'm starting to feel almost guilty for living rent-free in your head ever since we discussed the importance that tomato juice cans played in determining the 5.56MM cartridge/55 Grain HP bullet configuration for the military's new M-16 rifle.

Chill, dude. You're gonna' split your bibbers.

Aint going to be possible for a moron like you to bother me anymore, Whiney. You are on my ignore list as of right now. Should not bother you any. I imagine you get ignored by everyone that knows you. I should have put you on there a long time ago.

Good deal. It should help your blood pressure and your overall mental health. If you don't peek.

I never put anyone on ignore because I hate hypocrite's and I know I'll peek.

That and the fact that it's kinda childish when you think about it.

For the OP. There are two CZ 17 Hornets for sale on Accurate Shooter. One varmint and one American NIB, $600 each. No, they aren't mine either.

That's probably as cheap as you're going to find one providing they don't rape ya with shipping.
