chargemaster when you own progerssive

How many of you still really use your chargemasters after you started using progressive presses. I loved the chargemaster when I loaded on the single stage all the time but I am not sure I will ever use it anymore. I just wanted to see what you all think and have experienced.

I use mine all the time. I load mostly on a couple Dillon 550s but i have 3 Rcbs Rockchuckers that i load some bolt action stuff on and i use the Chargemaster on it.
But on some of my loads i will still use the Dillon but weight out the charges on the Chargemaster when im using powders like Varget and H4831 since they dont measure worth a flip in the Dillon.

I use my progressives a great deal but no way am I going to try to work up loads with them. Better a standard measure and a trickler or the CM for getting it dead on.

I've had good luck with progressives winning a lot of Gold over the years with them in rifle matches. I sold my last single stage in 1979. I have had a Rock Chucker still in the box for four years. I do use a turret for onsey twosey development. Beyond a doubt they are necessary to really get you up to sped on pistol if you are going for the gusto at the national level IMHO.

For my cutting edge PD loads I use a 550 or a 650 and high volume match ammunition. The groups I verify with are adequate at about 0.5 MOA with the 20's I'm shooting on the PD's and the competition non-F-class is down where I like it too.. The limiting factor for me is the powder choices as they don't do well at 98-100% fill with compression.

I use the cm with the progressive for stick powders. It works pretty well to pull the brass out at the seating stage, dump powder from the cm, put back in and seat bullets. I'm using an old Ammomaster press.

i only use my powder thrower on the progressive for making plinking loads.

when i'm making hunting ammo, setting up a ladder, or ammo that i load with stick powder i put a generic lee powder through die in there, toss a funnel on top, and let the chargemaster do its thing. then i manually dump the charge in as needed, cycle the press, leaving the ram in the upward position waiting for the next charge.

it still allows me to run mostly progressive, and take advantage of my case feeder, but it also lets me get the more precise weights i want/expect for those types of loads.
