Do you fellas buy the charger for your lightforce, or do you use what you have. I have a 2 amp and a 500 and a 600 ma. charger. I assume one of these will work.

The 2 Amp charger is a little Much,

It is recommended by Lightforce and Insterstate Battery corp. to use a 1.5 amp charger to charge there 12 volt batterys for Long Life..........perferably the ones that shut off when battery is charged........extends battery life...

You can use it but it will shortin battery life, the 1.5 amp is ideal for the 12 volt 8 Amp..........

You can also use the 500 and 600 Miliamp battery chargers, but it will take 3 times as long to charge your battery....the 1.5 amp charger will charge the battery in 5 hours........where the 12 volt...500 Millamps will take 15 hours to charge the battery........and so on.....

Hope this helps............Rick

You can buy a Schumacher charger at many Walmarts or over the net that is a 1.5 amp charger and maintainer. The model number is SEM-1562A. Check it out.

Cost at Walmart is about 19 bucks. It will also charge 6 volt SLA batteries. 60 some bucks for a charger for your batteries is way out of wack

The Charger for $19.00 at wal-Mart will charge 6 and 12 volts battries........

Some dealers sell them also, but they dont shut off............

They keep charging at a small Increments and down the road, it will start cooking your battery if left on All The Time........

The Chargers we sell shuts off, does not keep charging the battery and says so on the Package...........you can leave it on there all year long and not have to worry about it...

We only sell the Best for your Lightforce Equipment......

There only for 12 Volt Battries........

New battery costs $42.00 Presently.....

Lightforce, will not Warrenty your battery if its Bloated,Dead due to over charging........

These batteries have a life span of 3-5 years.....using the correct chargers........

I agree with Rick also on the chargers.
I use a 500 mAmp for my 12v - 12 amp battery and it's made so as not to over charge the battery, but it will still maintain a "float charge" after it's fully charged.

This charger will also do 2/6/12 v battery's. It must work ok, for the battery is now going on 5 1/2 yrs.
