Yes... IF you can get that kind of shot.
I'm not generally close enough to guarantee a head shot. I don't hunt with dogs so I only get an occasional shot at them sitting in a tree. They're generally on the move at a distance when I take them.
When it comes to body shots, like I said earlier, they can be very tough little critters. I feel like I've gotten the best results with Winchester Super-X 40 grain HP's.

Not sure how close you are to Lincoln, NE...but the Scheels there had a couple of used Marlin Bolt Actions everyone is talking about in .22 WMR. One was $130, the other was $150...it's been a couple of weeks since I saw them, but they've been there awhile. Send me a PM if you're interested but a little ways out from Lincoln...I'd be happy to check and see if they're still there for you.
