They said "unfortunately we do not brings stocks back in to do custom touch ups, Thank You".
Guess they want me to buy a new stock. Mine already has upgraded walnut and fancy fore-end cap and grip. Checkering would really have looked nice.

I bet if you use your friend Google and enter words like "rifle stock checkering" or even "laser rifle stock checkering" that some amazing options are out there for the taking. Probably not at $55, but very reasonable. I've used several of them and I've been very happy with the results for the money spent.
