Cheytac .408

Otherwise known as the M200 Intervention.

Base price = $11,500. No scope, no computer, no ammo.

I've seen complete packages at $17K+.

BC of .408: "Jamison International states the G1 BC of this bullet on their website currently (2009) at 0.940"

Cinch on here has a 375 allen mag improved which is the Chey tac case necked down and then stretched and improved for more case capacity. Maybe he can shed some light, I believe he throws a 350 grain sierra around 3400fps. Anytime you get in that specialty relm the costs go up condiderably though.

You can have a custom built 408 Chey-Tac, 375 Chey-Tac, 375 Snipe-Tac, or 338 Snipe-Tac built from the ground up for way under 11,000.
I have a 375 Snipe-Tac (408 Chey-Tac necked down to 375 and improved) and a 408 barrel in waiting for the standard 408 Chey-Tac.

You can have complete custom rifle chambered in a Chey-Tac cartridge with an 8-32 NXS for roughly $6,500 with a McRee stock or roughly $7,000 with a XLR stock.
This is from a gunsmith that lives outside of Gillette.
If you want more info you can PM me.

Those prices certainly make it more reasonable. The prices I found were online from sources with which I've had no interaction.

Do you have any footage of you in action with that bad boy? Tired of watching FutureWeapons clip

I can promise you if Mac's Gunworks builds you a rig, it will be very accurate.

Here is a very compact package for a 375 Chey-Tac Improved.

i was at the local gun show here in Vegas recently at the South Pointe casino and they had some of the rifles your talking about in the Cheytac 408. the same one on the Military Channel's show of the Top 10 Sniper rifles which the rifle in question was number 1. talked to the guys at the show and they said the rifle is not Cheytac but the cartridge is that they Cheytac developed, the 408. the guys i talked to said they built the rifle for them. the one seen on the Military Channel. they have rifles shooting the Cheytac 408 round for as low as $2400 and the Cheytac Intervention M200 System as seen on MIlitary Channel for $11.5K.

Here is my 375 AllenMag. Built by Kirby Allen (Allen Precision Shooting) of Fort Shaw MT. Kirby is very well know for his long range hunting rifles, especially his wildcats bases off the 408 CT.

Specs are:

BAT 1.55x8.5 single shot receiver
40 moa steel rail
30" Lilja barrel 1:10
APS large 5 port Painkiller muzzle brake
McMillan A-5 Desert camo
Jewell trigger with bottom safety
Cerakote finish
NF Ultralight tactical rings
NF NXS 5.5-22x50mm NP-R1
NF ACI with rail mount

How would you rate Kirby Allen against that Mac's Gunworks you were talking about earlier. What would be the best bang for the buck? Is there any other smiths out there that you would recommend for a big boomer?

Iv got 2 guns by Macs Gunworks. Perfection is probably the best word. I also have a gun being built by Kirby havent seen it yet. Heard nothing but good. You can talk to Chuck at Macs pretty easy and he is a great guy. Kirby is like trying to catch the wind. Email is about the only way.
