chicken shooting

My chickens drive me crazy! Their free range living
conditions have made shooting my bb gun a challenge.

I get a handful of nibbles and locate them with it so
I can shoot. Catching them is impossible...up at
sunrise and in bed at just before dark.

Yesterday I caught this one, first offense,
and snapped a piccy.

I'm not so sure that wouldn't have been a life threatening offense if it were my rifle that just got dumped on! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have a 3yr old rooster with those same colorations. He's meaner than the devil himself! I once saw him jump on a big tomcat and literally kick the ghost out of him!

I was shooting paper the phone rang and I got up. A minute when I walked by the door there she was standing on my gun. The base is stable so she probably couldn't knock it over.

Cannot blame her because she had, until very recently, been laying eggs in the pine shavings bag behind her in the pic. Technically I was trespassing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

No harm done and no droppings.

This place is definitely a LURKER area. There's a picture of a chicken sitting on a rifle, 200 hits and four responses- lotta turds here but there are great guys as well.
