Just finished up a hunt at the controlled hunting area on the Clear Creek Wildlife Management Area on the west end of Lake McConaughy. They post the results of each day throughout the season. 219 ducks have been harvested in 10 days. 138 hunters have used the site. Not many geese on area. Only 28 have been harvested since the 8th.

$5.28/day/hunter

They have 11 blinds (10 pit and 1 above ground) for public use

They reserve up to 5 blinds/day (reservation drawings held in October), which leaves 6 blinds open for walk-in hunters

Blind draw times occur 45 minutes before legal shooting time. They draw the reservation holders first and then the walk-in hunter list.

Great place to take young hunters. Hunters under 16 don't have to pay the $5.28/day

123 geese have been killed
319 ducks have been killed

382 hunters have used the area

Blinds 3,4,5,and 6 are the best goose blinds.

Blinds 6, 7, 9 are the best duck blinds.
