Had to laugh when I saw this, I never made coffee in my life and did the exact same thing around 60 yrs ago when I had to make coffee on the 4 to 8 watch,, heck, we were Boatswain's mates and those guys didn't know any better, they did drink it after making a few comments after the first sip!
Yea, I have to laugh every time I think about that!
