colorado coyote hunting

Im looking to get into more productive coyote zones in colorado, any advise is highly appreciated. I am using a mix of hand calls and my foxpro caller. Lately I have been hunting in the high country, but snow is about to push me out of the country and I am really trying to get good tips on new areas to try with perhaps less steep mountains and thich forest.

I'd start by trying the foothills in the same areas. As the snow pushes you down it also pushes the coyotes and deer down.

go east young man. It may mean more driving, but that's where the coyotes are. But of course, once you leave the mtns., the quality of fur is going to drop, but maybe you don't care.

I do care about the furs, however once the snows settle I will have a little more access. in the interm I am really itching to get my foxpro out blasting sounds, and I really want to take a yote with my bow.
I do not know too many predator hunters, as most the people I know in my area are big game only hunters. Curious if the board ever has meet ups or what not?

What part the divide are you near? I will be around Salida next weekend. My son and I will be elk hunting in the AM and then trying for some dogs midday.

a few years ago I hosted a "Colo." get together, actually hosted it two years in a row. Since then, we've had a get together at two other places, but this past summer, it just never grew feet. Maybe it'll happen again this coming summer.

I am in the I-70 corridor, and wont be able to get out to salida for a few weeks. I am hoping to get some work done tomorrow, I have a fresh sighting to go after..
I am likely going to try waterfowl hunting this winter, who knows, goose in the morning and evening and dogs mid day?

I would be up for a meet n greet and possibly a hunt or two??

Thanks!

Hey guys. Brand new to coyote hunting and looking to meet up with someone to show me the ropes. Not interested in the furs so would be willing to give any dogs I get to you in exchange for teaching me. I am in castle rock and willing to drive 1-2 hours in any direction.
Let me know if interested.

I assume you don't live under a rock, so how about you be the host, and we'll all come to your place, and after words, if I decide I like you, then we'll talk about going on a hunt together.
I do a lot of walking, do ya think you can keep up!

Makes perfect sense SD. Its been a while since there was a meet & see who is who. The one at your place was darned good.

If any of you guys get to the four corners area, hit me up. We are always looking for some new guys to hunt with. I would also like to meet some other members

I too live in Castle Rock. I got the predator hunting bug about 3 years ago so I'm no expert by any means but I do have a few spots to go - let me know if you ever want to go shoot some fur.

COpredator: I'm rarely in the 4 corners area but if i head that way i will definitely let you know.

Yoteslayer: Hey neighbor...small world!! I will send you a personal message with my info and it would be great if we could plan something here soon. I'm itching to get out there and try it.

Thanks!
Dan

I am in Highlands Ranch and am looking for someone to hunt with. Long time white tail deer and elk hunter. First time coyote hunter. I found a person in Ft. collins that buys animals but that is 1.5 hours away. Anyone know of people in the denver area?
Thanks

I'm in .... Don't currently have a place to host a meet and greet but I'd attend if there is one.

To the OP depending on where you are walden and kremmling areas both have decent populations. Weather permitting.

I don't have a place to hunt. I think i need a couple of hunts under my belt before I go looking for prime hunting land. I hunt elk about 2 hours from denver so I might try up there.
