Colt 6920, what would you do?

I'm really thinking about getting an RRA Coyote, about $1050.00 plus transfer fee. Thats a lot of money, but I am seriously considering it.
But....I have a never-fired Colt 6920 setting in my safe, paid for. All I would really have to do is remove the carry handle and add a scope. My question is, would you use a never fired 6920 for hunting, or would you keep it new and purchase a hunting rifle?

I've heard great things about both rifles, but for different uses. I myself have been wanting the 16" coyote carbine! I think either would be fine, but if you have an excuse for another rifle, dont fight it

It does you no good just sitting in the safe. Depending on when you bought it you might could sell it for more than you paid for it and put the money towards in AR you want and will use more.

But like you said, all you would have to do is switch out the upper receiver for a flat top. Or just go and get a complete upper assembly and use the lower you already have.

Lots of ways to skin a cat.

No, I don't have to switch out the upper. This is a 6920 LE, it has a flat top receiver with the removable carry handle/rear sight.

The 6920 is the Gold Standard in ARs, I would put a good trigger in it and use it for everything. The 1 in 7 will allow you to use any bullet weight you choose. If you change triggers measure your pins, they could be .154 or .170 if its a late gun they will probably be .154 (industry standard).

The 6920 is a great rifle - mine runs like a top 100% 55 & 75 gr V-Max
