Colt Agent value

Maybe an easy question. I recently bought a Colt Agent 38 Special. I know they are no longer made so my question, is there any collector value or are they just a average priced pistol? My reason for asking is if there is no "collector" value, I was considering possibly getting it coated with cera or something similar.

Unless there is some kind of historical documentation that would go with the revolver, or it is in "AS NEW" condition (never fired with box and papers), the value is not as great as some might think..

You might go on Gunbroker.com and look up the specific weapon and see if any have sold and what the selling bid happened to be..Asking price is not a good benchmark, but when one is showing several bids, you can tell about it's desirability.

I talked to a guy at a pawn shop that has a lot of the high end Colts. He didn't seem to think it had a "collector" value. I don't always believe what someone working in a pawn shop tells me. Gunbroker prices are all over the place. Its hard to tell there. Guess it really doesn't matter but would hate to screw up a pistol if it had a value in original condition. It is in great shape but no box or paper work.
