Colt Woodsman

In the 1970's Colt was going through some financial issues and I think some union issues. They were also competing against Ruger and their Mark1 which was accurate and reliable and considerably less. Some lines got shut down and were never restarted.

If you find one today they are pricey. Cool, but pricey.

You mean one of these: They are costly. I have the box also.

Colt just messed up and lost the farm.
I love mine, it is a wonderful pistol. I have the Colt holster for it.
Mine was made in 1967. Owning one of these is like owning GOLD.
I hope you can buy one someday. I worked a part time job to buy this one.

You betcha that's nice, Willy. One of my high school buddy's dad had one these. We shot a passel of Remington Kleanbore ammo though it one afternoon. Not a hiccup one. Mighty nice gun. Wish I had one for sure.

I bought one of those when they were discontinued and on final sale.
I had the cheapest one with a 4 1/2" barrel, a Huntsman I think they called it. I worked on the trigger a bit and shot it a lot, finely sold it for a profit.

As I recall I paid $87 for it new in 1970 something.

I have a late 50's Huntsman 6". Was my daughters favorite up until I put a suppressor on the 22/45.

That's a beauty Willy. I always liked that model and the match target model. I couldn't find one so I bought a S&W model 41 with 5 1/2 bull barrel in the early 80's

I know a gun shop that has 2 for sale. If you are interested PM me and I'll give you the information. These are NOT my guns.
