Coolest bobcat ever!

The fur around the face looks ok, but the shape of the face and ears don't look right for a bobcat to me. i've never seen one around here with a snout that long.
But, maybe I'm wrong.

I was thinking the same thing. To me that one looks more like a domestic cat. I have a black cat sitting next to me right now that looks just like the one in the picture.

I have heard of some Jaguars being caught in the Gila Wilderness and I have heard (ONCE) that one was caught as far north as around the Santa Fe area.

I too called the BS police on the black mt lion, and one of the Rangers(the only credible one in my opinion...lol), said that he too had seen it. Seeing is believing, I still don't believe it. I am a pessimistic guy I guess.

Where are the results of the DNA testing? This melanistic cat was reported caught in August 2007 and then held at the Busch Garden Sanctuary in Florida. The sanctuary says they'll be working with the state to run DNA and blood tests. They want to make sure there's official documentation that the Black Bobcat exists.

It's now been 4 years and it's getting close to Halloween again, WHERE ARE THE DNA AND BLOOD TEST RESULTS???

I'm thinkin thats just a regular old feral cat. It appears that the tail is wrapped around the front paw. Even if it has a short tail, I know a guy who has a barn cat that was born with a short tail and there is also a breed of domestic cat called a pixie-bob that strongly resembles a bobcat, but has pretty much no genetic link to the bobcat. I've also never seen a bob that didn't have ear tufts.. the cat in the pic has smooth ears, just like a house cat.
