coon hunting

I coon hunt all spring, summer, and fall. I love coon hunting. Nice weather, get to hear the race, and don't have to hike for miles through the mountains in deep snow or icy hills. Much more relaxing than hunting cats. I love doing both so I have the best of both worlds.

Welcome Coon Hunter, this was my main focus for over 35+ yrs. Now I am in my 60s and getting into pedator calling. Still have one coondog through and probaly always will. I go back to the old carbide lights. It's changed much over the yrs. The fun hunting to high dollar competion. Finding hunting ground without having to drive 50mi. I enjoy talking to other Coonhunters. Wish we had a thread dedicated to it.

I don't think I could survive without coon hunting. My grandma got me where the red fern grows when I was 7 and been hooked ever since.

Don't coon hunt, but love hounds. We have a Walker & a Blue Tick for for house pets. Rescue dogs from the south.
Makes me the "Walter Mitty" of coon huntersI guess.
