Rifle and empty brass/reloading dies arrived Friday afternoon. Thank goodness my gun dealer is only 4 minutes from my auto repair shop. I went and picked it up. Wood is much nicer looking than I thought it would be. When I got home last night I reloaded 20 of the empties with 14.7gr of Reloader 7. I loaded 10 Berger moly 20gr and 10 Midway DogTown 20gr bullets. Cleaned barrel and patched until they came through white.
I mounted a Vari-III 6.5-20x40 with a target dot reticle. Something I had laying around. Went to the range this am, beautiful shooting weather partly cloudy wind was 3mph and variable 70 degrees F. Shoot three 3 shot groups with moly Bergers and 3, 3 shot groups with Midway DogTown bullets. Once again DogTowns most accurate in my 17. Same story with my 17 Rem. Here are a couple pics. I have never had the best luck with any of the reloader powders. It was the only thing I had that was listed in Sensational Seventeens. Tonight I will try different powder/bullet combinations.
