There are several tour companies that offer train tours through the Copper Canyon. Don't waste your money. Drive down to Chihuahua, buy your own train tickets, Get off at creel, stay in a log cabin at the KOA there. Take a tour of the Toumahara indian reservation. Then get back on the train and get off again at Batopelias and spend the night there in the faboulous cliff hanging hotel. Then back on the train and get off at Los Mochis ( a 16th century city.) Great hotels there. Take a river rafting trip or an ecological trip on the Rio Fuerte river. Then take the train back to Chihuahua and go back home. You can make arrangements to leave your car in a safe place at a hotel in Chihuahua or just drive on into Creel and leave it at the KOA.
The Copper Canyon is a great place. It's seven times bigger than the grand canyon, Deeper, longer, higher and there are seven interconnected canyons. Do a Google search about the Copper canyon and get educated before your trip.
Oh be careful and be sure you get your tickets for the daytime trip. Otherwise you will see nothing but darkness.
