Cougars roaming WNY's Southern Tier

Hey guy's, Those pictures were taken in Wyoming last February, 2004. It was a wild cat. I do believe there are cougars all over the east but those pictures are a hoax if they say they are from anywhere but Wyoming.

Thanks Marlin 25-36. I knew i had seen them pictures a while ago. Them pictures were being passed around in e-mails before and were claimed to be photographed in PA.

Mnt.Lion sightings are a hot topic in PA right now also.

There's always someone out there trying to play a hoax on everyone though.

I really hate those idiots who play hoaxes on us. Those pictures were used last March 2004 in a hoax. They were said to be taken in Towanda, Pennsylvania. I just looked it up. When there are real sightings the hoaxers start up to discredit you. It is very frusrtating to be told there are no "wild" cougars in NY. So maybe they are not purebred "Eastern cougars" but I sure think there are some out there. They are probably crosses of south american pets with western wanderers. Like the cougar kitten hit by a truck in Kentucky a while back. She had parents! No one admits to killing them . So they could/would have had more kittens.
 
Thanks Marlin. I dont know if you ever seen the picture from last year that had a guy standing in his garage, bear hugging a huge Mnt.Lion that he shot. The picture was from out west,and i had seen it on Predator Masters here.

Well it didn't take that picture long to turn up in everyone's e-mails in Pa. It was claimed then to be shot on state forest land (I believe) somewhere in PA.

It was posted on a PA hunting web site also, but it didn't take long for people to chime in that it was a hoax. Alot of people actually believed it was from PA though.

I was sent the picture of the Washington State cougar in an email myself. It was supposed to be from Alabama at the time. It was sent all over from many different places. That one made it to snopes.com.
