counter sniper scope

K22 you really went around the barn to nicely tell me I'm getting old,and your right.I am having more trouble out of my right eye as of late.Would be my right eye.But there also is some difference with scopes that I notice.I have one Zeiss and it has ruined me on some of my other scopes but I just don't want to pay as much as Zeiss thinks they should have for their scope.Mostly I am wanting something with hold over marks but I don't want to have one calibrated for 308 for example so I could use it on something else if I wanted to.I shot my leupold out to 700 yd and the dialing of turrets ain't so bad as I have plenty of time for that when I am playing.
OT I have been looking real hard at Minox scopes and am liking them better all the time.That may be the one.
 
I got a Weaver 6x24 classic on a trade some time ago and the focus was bad.The parallax did not adjust right and was only sort of clear set to infinity.I called Weaver and they said send it to them which I did.I got it back in about 2 weeks and they did a great job.Everything moves as it is supposed to and it is really clear.They said something was broken inside and they cleaned and lubed it.Did not charge me anything.Very nice.

sorry about that. The same thing happened to me. Age just sort of snuck up on me. Younger guys pick up my rifles, look thru the scope and it back saying it's to blurry to see thru and it's clear to me.

Some of the reports I've gotten on Minox haven't been to favorable, but I've heard nothing but praise for Vortex scopes.
 
I have used the Rapid Z 1000 it was nice but it had a big problem you had to use it at the correct power setting for all you holdover shots and even for your 100yds zero.

I have used the Bushnell and the Weaver Tactical FFP scopes and for the dollar value they are nice. We sell both scopes we need to add the Weaver Tactical on our sight.

I can see how you would say and feel that. I was going to do a field test but after getting CS and feeling how poorly this was made (we broke the turret by hand on the first one). This told me why so main shooters have issues with them. For the price tag there are a lot of other scopes out there that will do the job a lot better.

Why do I feel I do not need to field test it? I have used and field tested 100s of scopes over the years from BSA to one of the most expensive scopes on the market the Hensoldt. In doing this it has given me a good ability to identify a good optic form a bad optic. A Good Optic for the most part has the same attributes and same goes for a Bad Optic.

Let me give you a crude example. Sorry this was the first one that came to me.
If there is a brown pile on the ground in that smells bad, looks like a Babe Roth candy bar, and has steam coming off it I do not need to step in it to know what it is.

I know CS tells the buyer that this for stealth. I tried using the unlocking turret to make the turrets more positive but could not. The first one we got was a little more positive. Every true tactical scope I have ever used you can feel the clicks and typically you can hear them really well. Why do you need positive clicks? So you can stay on scope watching your target and make the adjustment you need without looking at the turrets.

If you guys would like us to do a field test we sure can do that but it will not be for some time. We have a lot of other items in the works.

Ive been in the Army 18 years, and I have never seen a Counter Sniper Scope used anywhere, by anyone in the Military. I have also never seen one at the Infantry Convention held every year at FT Benning, or the Warrior Conference at Ft Leonardwood. I also go to every Fire Power demonstration that i can, and the Sniper School is almost always represented, and I have never seen one on their table either. It may be a good scope, but the dishonest advertising (Military OverRuns)will make me avoid it no matter how great it is.
 
That could be the case. There is definitely more that one Army in this world. But the prices are up there with Leupold. Seems like Leupold would be a better way to go. Each to their own though.

The review was tongue in cheek which is why it wasn't more thorough. If you poke around online much or spend time at the range then you have heard the stories of how somebody got this great new scope that turned out to be garbage. Go to almost any optics website and you will find that the reputable ones for serious shooters are not selling Counter Snipers

Now of course there are a million opinions on the net, and everyone is an expert, so take this for what it is worth, but there are much better quality scopes out there, even at that price point.

U know it could be legitimate advertising, who knows really? Maybe a Humvee did Run Over one once. It could happen u know.
 
Guys if your having trouble with your eyes go to a ophthalmologist, not an optometrist. Theres no reason in the world to be older and have poor eyesight if you can help it.

I have worn glasses since i was seven, i'm in my sixties now and can hunt and shoot without glasses. GO to a ophthalmologost, it's that simple. blue
 
As most people get older their eyesight gets worse and most just say well thats part of getting older. It doesn't have to be that way for most people.

While the optometrist can do a good eye exam, a ophthalmologist can do a better more in depth exam. The difference is just getting new glasses or finding you have cataracts and have them removed and new lenses implanted and seeing better without glasses. blue
 
Sounds like Mickey is making sense, to me.

I'm not in the military, but I have never heard of any military, police, tactical shooting competitor, or anyone else running a Counter Snioper. Nobody.

No way I would gamble on one at this point........
 
still not getting the eye comment. Are you saying that the counter sniper scope is being used and Im not seeing it? Im a little slow so help me out here.
 
I am saying that any of the older people here with poor eyesight need to get their eyes examed, not just chalk it up to getting older. blue
