U know, u might consider taking them to a taxidermist. They may have some value, as they're always such an oddity. DOW may be interested in them too.

The Des Moines Register, has classifieds section. Over the yrs, in the Pet 4-sale Section. I've seen add's with coydogs & wolf/dog's for sale. Most of the coydogs were bred with a German Shepherd.

Makes me wonder, about the ones I've seen. These "coydogs"
Some of those, I've run across out hunting. Could've been any of those possibilities.

there isnt supposed to be wolves in arkansas. but he did look alot like a wolf. everbody i asked said it was a coydog.

my neighbor shot another wierd coyote that i never saw, he said it was a male/female cross??? it had a dong and a puss, but no balls...
im thinking these doggs are true hillbilly doggs, a little inbred! we have shot some strange ones the last two years.

Our hounds kicked up a Grey Wolf out of a hilly timbered 2mile section. While running a fresh coyote track. Back in circa 1972. He was a big ole boy. We got a real good look at him.

There are [not supposed] to be [ANY]wolves in Iowa either. But I'm sure an occasional straggler pass's through.

Around 6-7yrs ago. Took my Dad coyote hunting. I spotted a very large cream colored canine [looked like a Grey wolf, to us] walking down a cropland draw. He had very long legs, thick tapered muzzle, up-right pointed ears, medium length fluff tail. As well as a mane.

He froze in place, as we seen each other @ the same time. He was 200yrds or so out.

As there "not" any wolves in Iowa. I commenced to unload on him [that big ole "coyote"looking thing] /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. He didn't wait around any, for the welcome. Went into flat-out mode, taking 20' strides as he flew away.

We came across his paw prints on the other side of the section he was in. He had very large feet.

Haven't seen him, since.

Gee wiz, there are "no" wolves in Iowa.

I think it was fall 2003 one was shot in Illinois north of Peoria around Henry. The department of Natural Resources never offered an explanation.

Last deer season a very large "cat" was found dead by a hunet outside New Boston near the Mississippi River.
