Well, my season has finally come to an end, but I did get a small female on March 27th shortly after 2200. I got video but the image was not as good as the others so I didn't bother to post it to Youtube. The humidity was at 77 percent, not terrible. The scope doesn't seem to do well in humidity, meaning the background. The coyote image itself was plenty good enough for a killing shot, though. OneLeaf MT1000 scope, 6.5 Grendel and 90 gr. Varmageddon at 80 yards.

Trail camera photo early morning of the 27th. I hunted that night and took her around 2200.

Below are photos of laptop screen of the paused video. Naturally the resolution is not as good as the video itself but gives you an idea of 77% humidity.
The background is lacking but the coyote image is plenty good for shooting.

The coyote ran down the hill after the shot, falling in the tractor road down the bank from the bait site. She went maybe 30 yards.

The shot hit slightly rearward which no doubt resulted in her running. She kept stretching forward and then back when working the bait.

Spur, I don’t know specifically about the specific time, so just commenting on the distortion at 77% at that time. I have hunted in higher humidity with my Infiray Bolt Tl35 v2 384 without that much background distortion. Still, the coyote view itself is more than adequate. 77% humidity isn’t all that much, I think. For the money the MT1000 is difficult to beat in my opinion, but preliminary results seem to indicate it doesn’t care for humidity.

Glad you finished a poor season with some good hunts '6. You might try changing the contrast setting on your scope as humidity changes. I am actually 'blown away' by how good the image is in mine at 100% and even misty or light rain (did these rain checks from the garage 😉 before the scope was even on a gun). I don't know if me running white hot has anything to do with it either.

Thanks, JM. I did try changing the scene settings, which didn’t seem to make much difference. It could be that I need to play with it a little more. Maybe I can adjust it better. Overall I am pleased with the scope.
