hey fellas,
i know its early but im tryin to set my schedule, does anybody know when there will b contests either in nebraska or south dakota or north dakota? any input is appreciated. thanks
I don't know of any south dakota contest. Every year there is a contest over in Newcastle, WY. Newcastle is right across the SD border. My buddy owns some property in the area and can gain access to some land.
We never entered it. There are a few guys on the board who get after it. I think you can win a couple thousand for wining.
The North Dakota Coyote Classic is in Dickinson on the 19th and 20th of December i believe you can check the website at www.coyotehunter.net I talked to Jamie and last year went real well I might try to make it this year (last year i was in Montana hunting)there is about five more in ND but i don't know the dates yet.
thanks a lot, if u hear of anymore dates in north dakota let me know, also, do u need land to enter those contests or do they assign u land. thanks a lot.
Prophet,
Do you know where I can get the information for the contest in Newcastle? Go a head and e-mail me the information if you could. greg@meyerclublambs.com Thanks
My partner let me know that the National Coyote Calling Contest in Rawlins, WY. is Nov. 7-8 this year. I don't know the details or the contact but perhaps someone else on the forum does. I had a blast last year and am going back.
Looks like I could make the Dickinson hunt. I know some good government land and could get to some good private land. Hopefully my schedule doesn't change. The last contest I tried to make I was having some health problems. Hopefully I hold out this year.
There are always a couple of contests around the Pierre area. Seems like they're in December and January. They always seem to fall on a weekend when I have guards so I've never been able to enter. I will keep my eyes and ears open and try to pass the word on to you.
Yes, Norm is still the guy to contact for the Nationals in Rawlings. If you entered last year you should have received an invitation in the mail a couple of weeks ago.
wyoboy00- I see Desert Dog answered your question. Good luck to you fellas this year. What are the chances that the weather will be as good as last year's?
Regards.
