coyote crap photo

CC- I have observed the same thing. I find persimmon seeds in a lot of deer and coyote "leavin's" and danged if I can find the trees.
 
Neatest coyote scat I ever found was mostly deer hair loaded with mouse bones. The little bones were hardly damaged, complete pelvic bones and femurs (or mouse equivalent) etc., and there were enough of them in there I probably could have put together a museum quality mouse skeleton if I'd been that interested in mouse-bone displays.
 
Baiting deer is legal here and most people use apples.I've had several huntin' buddies in the last few years tell me that the yotes were raidin' there apple piles.Really ticks them off,as if deer hunters needed another reason to hate coyotes around here.I think they are opportunists that will eat anything,anytime,anywhere they can.
