Well made my trip her eto Toronto for business and along the way I counted 17 dead coyotes along the highway between detroit and here. Has anyone ever come acrross that many dead yotes in a single day?
I have never seen one dead on the road ever. You would think they would be smarter than that? Doesn't that make you feel bad when you know if u drive down that road you could hit one but if ur set up tryin to call one in, you can't get a hit at all?
in the last 12 years I've seen a few road kill yotes between Las Vegas and Pahrump along SR 160 but not that many. About 9 years ago Critter_Gitter and were having no luck at getting a yote and picked one of those up to take home and skin out. Man talk about smelly dog. I was just about puk'n but like the sick guy he is he took one for the team and finished the job. We were really desprate for a yote back then. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I see them all the time in Az. but never 17 in one day.I have seen maybe three or four in a day Fairly regularly but I'm driving around the area not through it for great distances.Thats alot of carnage.
i counted 12 within an hour of reaching the US border, but in the MExican side. i have traveled that same road lots of times, nad i had never seen one, and this time i saw 12. it was very weird. they were killed by cars im guessing, because all but 2 were at the side of the road, like if someone had put them there. the other 2 were still at the middle of the road, too messed up to move i guess.
It's all about LOCATION....I've seen more "LIVE" coyotes off roads in Mexico then some folks have seen in a year or two in the U.S.
Simple.....They are not hunted in Mexico like they are in the U.S. Right Mex3D?....17 road kills is an awesome site no matter where you live. You're going to have to prove that one to me buddy........Good Hunting
Coming back to Iowa, from Hays Kansas awhile back. Seen two single's around 30lb'ers. As well as a big ole boy in NW Missouri. Closing in on 50lbs, I'd say.
Almost sounds like coons and distemper, raccoons laying dead everywhere. I think they stagger around near the roads and get hit more cause they are sick. Coyotes that thick, good place to trap or hunt, until something wipes them out for being overpopulated.T.20
I was surprised myself. Just got back from the club. Damn this town is great........ladies all over the place. But that is another story. Going to buy a knife for the ride home and se what I can pick up.
Well I made it back home safe. Between London and Sarnia I counted 7 coyotes on the side of the road dead. Not as many as on the way but still a high number. In that area we drove through there is alot of farm fields that look great for hunting along with some good cattle farms. I picked out my places to hunt if I ever get the chance to go back and do so. Gives me the bug to go out.

thats right, i know of only another person besidesmyself that hunts coyotes. and on the ranch i hunt on they respond well to calls, because i think nobody has ever called that place before. hunting is not as extended here in Mexico, and coyote hunting is even less known.
Mex3D, if they never hunted Mexico, it's hard to explane what's it's like.
I've only hunted in Baja Norta and Sonora Mexico, where I was at the coyotes had never been called.
Has anyone ever experienced killing so many coyotes they start feeling sorry for em? I have lol.
