[qb]Sorry guys, I forgot about the cost of the license. All a non-resident needs for coyotes is a small game hunting license ($67), no habitat stamp is required for coyotes. Coyotes aren't considered a furbearer in Nebraska, but be sure not to shoot anything else like fox or bobcats or you could get yourself in quite a mess. I think the non-resident fur harvester license is $224.00, a little pricey for me. I think this info is right, but for all the information you need go to the Nebraska game and parks commission website, they have everything you need to know there. Thanks.

adkguide, you're right about Montana = $0.00 BUT, you are required to obtain landowner permission; all land is to be considered "posted" even if there are no signs up. Most landowners will allow you to hunt simply by asking. If any of you folks ever consider doing any hunting in NE Montana, drop me a line - I have tons of permission and I could use the on-site advise. Still trying to get silverfox to come up this way . . . hope to get some exposure to his expertise one of these days. Good hunting to you all.
Peace,
Scott

A couple more things about Montana--non-residents CANNOT shoot furbearers. That includes fox and bobcats. Non-furbearers include skunks, coyotes, and prairie dogs and (I think, but not sure) gophers and/or ground squirrels.

If you want to hunt on state owned land you need a recreational use permit which costs $5.00.

Then there's Reservation hunting. I think the total cost to hunt coyotes/fox, etc. and keep the hides is $25.00.

There are also some refuges you can get a special permit for if you want to hunt on them. The permit is free (for some) if you have the $5.00 state recreational land use permit.

I hate the No-Tresspass Law the songdogslayer mentioned is in effect. You have to do a LOT of leg work to figure out who owns the land, then try to find their telephone number, and then try to find them home so you can talk to them.
