Coyote Pups coming out of den

Usually after the 10 days of blindness they get out bit but won't be roaming far at all without lots of care and attention from the family. They also like to move the pups from den to den after that due to flea's etc.

Not trying to hijack the thread but usually Jan,Feb is the breeding season. So roughly when will pups be born? I don't shoot groundhogs or anything else until after I see little ones out on their own. I always am working and don't have time then but I always wondered when little one's are done with mom.

I no a guy who killed a whole litter and a mother. He said he found the den he had his 12 gauge on him and he fired away. I think he said there was 5 pups. This was in may. He has a cattle ranch. He said to prevent the problem before it starts.

Don't blame him for that. I have some farmer friends that want them killed any way you can. Coyotes even eat his corn. He grows the organic corn and gets a good price for it. In Tennessee you can't hunt yotes at night when is the best time to hunt. Around time when the cows start dropping calves the farmers want you to hunt. I just Don' t like killing momma and leave the little ones to starve. Would rather kill em all. Good Huntin.

I'm the same way, as long as they have pups I wont hunt because they need both parents, but come about Sept/Oct when the pups are leave'n the den its time to hunt.
