Sorry…but those guys need their degrees pulled. The only way anything produces “more” is through caloric intake. Just because numbers fall doesn’t necessarily mean more litters or pups per liter unless food was scarce and the remaining have more food.
Coyotes still only mate once a year and generally have the same numbers of pups. Survival of pups again relies on caloric intake.
Can you exterminate coyotes from a property? Yes, for a short period of time. You’ll always have transients roaming through. Coyotes looking for their own territory will move in as well.
That argument of “if you try and kill them all, they just produce more” isn’t even biologically possible. If your goal is to eliminate as many as possible, start in February and trap/shoot as many as you can. Keep this up through May. Start back in August/September and you’ll catch/shoot those that survived your initial removal process.
