Coyote shotgun tips?

I'm assuming good set up is important, correct? Did you all usually set up in the thick stuff? Good camo is important in order to get them within range too right? Just trying to get a mental picture of a good way to set up using a shotgun.

Camouflage is not essential in any way shape or form. Breaking up your silhouette and concealing movement is key. A famous coyote hunter by the name of Jay Nitsetter killed a truckload of coyotes while wearing a Santa Suit once just to prove the point. Be where coyotes are, set-up the stand properly and kill coyotes, that easy.

zion9,
I am still new to this and have been doing this a few years. we have called them in with no decoy only mouth calls and have gotten shots -- should have had a shotgun -- this year we picked up an e-caller and are going to use the turkey feather for now. hooked a fishing swivel through the base of the feather and another on the end (only to make it easier to find) . it will pack easy and moves with the slightest breeze. right now after deer hunting in the snow, the yotes around here are after rabbits big time so we will see what happens with the feather. the yotes we did call in ... I wish we had some sort of decoy because we had no room for error and missed. live and learn .. good luck and have fun.
