Coyote tow rope

Silverfox,
It does not look like the coyotes minded the blaze orange did they?
Have you ever thought the coyotes could see you any better when wearing it?

This is off the subject, but what do you do with the carcuss after you take the hide. Will a yote eat anothers carcuss? Just kinda curious. It has never crossed my mind and I dont think i have ever heard it mentioned if they will eat one another.

I was curious as I stated I have never heard the question asked or answered. Iwould think the crows and opossums would get at them but I dont see why another yote wouldnt. Meats meat aint it. In all my years in the woods I have never came across a dead yote(unless I shot it) to see what critters have been into it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif

Mine looks a lot like silverfox's pic, but I use a 4 1/2" piece of black pipe wrapped in duct tape so its kind of padded, with about seven feet of 1/4" rope.

My "yote tote" is a piece of 3/4" PVC and about 3 foot of nylon cord. I ran the cord thru the PVC and tied a knot in it. I can stuff all the cord inside the pipe and keep it in my hip pack without it being tangled in everything else. I half hitch their two front legs together then half hitch their bottom jaw. Dragging them with the grain of their hair is alot easier and keeps them looking better.

So here is how we do it. Not often am I packing back multiples, but each person can pack one this way. Tie all four feet together. Do the Frount two then with same string do the back two.
Slide the shooting stick in length wise and use them as the handle. Makes for a quick disload if someting should happen, Allow you to switch hands easily when walking distances etc. My buddy actually came up with this. Please note that the pictured was mine, however the sticks and string belonged to the Californian that was with us.... Hym only a californian would use pink and purple sting.
