Coyotegods history?

The guys on that site, introduced me to .17 center-fires and Airedales.
For that I will be eternally grateful.

Plus you got to meet my Gracie. The old girl is getting a bit worn out though. How is your pup doing?

Boy I sure hate seeing that website go down. I've been a member on there for sometime now, but never posted much. It was the first "house" where they talked completely about fur saving and 17's, which are my main loves.
Call the Coyote in, aim small = no sewing. Few to no runners with that combo.

Never heard of these fellas... sure sounds like I would like em though, with accordance to the above quote...
had a couple Airedales in my time... great breed of terrier.

What happened to the site? Never been there but the 17 rem. and Airedale sound like a VHS coyote hunting tape a buddy let me borrow a while back by that name.

NV,
Same-same. John-Henry and Victor C. made the CoyoteGods video. Vic used to be an active member here but got banned a few years back.

Basically the sight was about hunting coyotes, for hunters that saved, and put up fur. John-Henry was big on the tolling dog issue. I am told he did some ADC work in Colorado,

He was kind of the TT on PM, before there was Predator Masters. But he used Airedales instead of cur dogs or whatever it is that Tony uses. Some guys may remember the old guys that used to be on (I think the site was called) Shade tree, and he was one of them.

Anyways interest faded, some got banned from there too, and CG ran it's course.

For sure the site wasn't for everyone. Also, while there probably were some very experienced guys on the site there were a number of wannabes that parroted the mantra of the site. I think one of the notions of calling is predator control and in many parts of the country coyote hides never reach the point of having any value.

I'm an old timer when it comes to calling and it sometimes grates on my ears to hear "yote" but so what? I remember coming in to check in our critters after a weekend hunt and being asked what we got. "5 dogs, 3 cats and a couple of fox" was an excepted answer and no one got pissy about it.

Since I'm a big fan of the 22-250 and 220 Swift I decided that the rules there were a little too narrow to suit me so I didn't even bother to try and join. The response to a couple of peoples' questions about the site was enough to put me off anyway. Simply rude.

He is doing great. Everybody that is around him for any length of time is impressed by his intelligence. This should be an interesting hunting season.

Good grief Skinney that is from about 12 years ago, how did you ever find that? The search engine here only goes back about 3 years I believe. And a locked thread to boot!

I wonder how many of those guys were banned from this site? Dogboy, and NASA, I am pretty sure were. If you go on to some of the other sites, there has been some serious bad mouthing of this site too. Heck even threats of lawsuits and such.

It's sad that some people from this site and some others are so extremely hated.

Good riddance. I was on Coyote Gods years ago and a majority of the members were some of the rudest people I've ever encountered. The site was very strange. Bunch of coyote eating hill jacks.

Never was a member there, took a look around and could tell the way I hunt coyotes would not be welcome in JH’s house, so I did not enter.
There were several guys on there that knew how to kill coyotes, then again there are a lot of folks that know how to kill coyotes.

3 more lines and I’m done.

Have met and would hunt with Vic Carlson anytime.

Bought a “before CD” vid from JH and saw a coyote challenge barking at a tied up big hairy dog and knew right then I was going to train me a Jack Russell to hunt coyotes with, so I could see that 1st hand. Will always be thankful for that.

Anything prior to this post was just in jest, as over the years a couple of the members there tried to get me to shoot a 17. Now I’m playing with one…lol

Stay after them
Kelly

John Henry definitely did have a way with writing. I read his and Vic's adventures many times. I liked his style of penmanship although I didn't always fully agree with his views.

I was a member there for years. I got two Airedales out of John Henry's stud dog. Man there were something else. I also used a 17 Remington for years and years. And would now but. Got in a bind and had to sell it and others off. Anyway. I hated to see them close out. I learned a lot form JH and Vic and Brent and several others.
