He needs to figure out just how small the vital organs really are on a coyote. Those scratch hits around the edges won't anchor a coyote. And only one or two hits in the vitals allow them to run a long way before they run out of steam which obviously makes recovery double tough. I've watched video of him shooting at deer with buckshot at 100 yards - unsuccessfully. I think he is more than a bit optimistic...

^^^^^^^^^Yeah, paper is a lot easier to kill than coyote. All it takes is one or two pellets.

Yea, but that was the best shooting with a shotgun I have ever seen.

Also, he is not shooting a single shot, a coyote knocked down will get follow up shots.

Makes you wonder what a 60 yard shot would look like, then 50!

I hunted a long time with a Rem 1100 with a std full choke, all shots in a 30" pattern at 40 yards, which is not all that tight. All guys in the truck loved that shotgun because it was a pretty good balance for near and far shots, and coyotes on a full dead run can be hard to hit.

Any shot I make at 75 yards is what I call a Hail Mary shot.

The Chiappa is cool and everything but the defense version is $1,800 at Gander (I realize it could be had cheaper elsewhere) to me honestly it's just a toy, if you need three shots out of a shotgun in a defensive situation go buy a Remington 870 make it look all "tacticool" and spend half as much. Not saying it isn't cool but I could think of a few other guns I would buy before it.
