Coyotes adapting ?????

I wanted to throw this idea or thought out there and see if anyone is experiencing or seeing coyotes behavior change with night hunting. Maybe im crazy but it sure does seem like every tom dick and Harry is getting a thermal and calling coyotes at night . Its not for me but I understand why people like it alot. Anyway has anyone noticed if coyotes are starting to hunt more during day light hours cause of the influx of pressure on them . Just curious 🤔

Can’t comment on that situation directly, as we can’t enjoy the action when the sun goes down up here.

I do however, firmly believe that coyotes are only one genetic mutation away from supplanting us as the dominant species on the planet. So it would surprise me very little if they are adapting to something. They are masters of it.

If you think coyotes can become me pressured to the point they are difficult to take during the day. Then they will eventually do th same at night. You are only diminishing one of their senses by hunting at night.

I think you can take night time and daytime out of the equation and just say hunting. The reason I say this is because they can get educated no matter which times you choose to hunt them. For us @NiteHowlHunting we call them and hunt them the same way we would do during the daytime. I understand what you are saying about these folks that just do a lot of scanning at night and don’t get out of the truck until they see one which I believe is how a lot of these folks kill so may in tournaments. Which if they are doing it legally then more power to them. That’s not how we choose to hunt but to each its own. I will say we try not to over hunt our properties we rotate and if we do call them in we do our very best to harvest them a dead coyote is no longer an educated coyote. For those with a limited spots and land I would stress not to over hunt and call it . I would compare it to deer hunting it’s illegal to hunt deer at night and deer have always been hunted during daylight hours it doesn’t keep them from moving during the day even though just like yotes they are also primarily nocturnal animals. Thermal hunting has gotten huge but at the same time there will always be plenty of coyotes to be hunted daytime or night time and wouldn’t stress over it to much. It s a me like everybody is doing it but that’s because we follow and see all the videos and surround our selves with it on a daily basis but in the grand scheme of things there is a lot more hunters out there that don’t hunt predators. I just hope everyone gets out and enjoys the chase day or night and has successful hunts that make memories for a lifetime. Happy Hunting Friends !!!!!
