coyotes eatin what???!!!!! won't believe this...

We live in Southern NM and have had the coyotes get into the sweet feed of the horses. We keep it in metal trash cans with a rock on top and the darn doggies just knocked the cans over and ate the feed. Did not touch the oats after they knocked it over.
 
I'v seen Ol' Wiley put Buggs Bunny to shame eating carrots. I guess it he knew they would help him see in the dark. LOL You could see almost glowing orange piles miles away from the field.

In IA we have to check traps everyday. I found that sometimes the coyotes don't seem to move for 3-4 days. Then when I caught the next ones some had clay and corn in their bellies, I think they stayed in the den and only came out for a short while during that time.
This apparent inactivity is caused by the weather? T.20
