Coyotes eating coyotes ?

I know of several trappers that use the cut of feet of a trapped skinned coyote with a little bit of scent between the toes to lure in other yotes, in a dirt hole or a flat set. In the 2nd post, it said a hind foot was what the coyote shot had in his mouth.
 
I only see it when they are skinned and late winter time. I hear when they shoot mangey ones in MT the next day the other sick ones have already eaten the just shot ones, ewwwe!
 
I came across the hind end of a yearling coyote the other day on the way into a stand, nobody has been shooting there, there isn't any traffic along that road either. The way I see it, he got taken out by another coyote and got half eaten, then fully eaten as it was gone the next day. Coyotes are like my in-laws, they eat everything.
