I think that they should be easy to tell apart when you put a normal sized coyote and a normal sized wolf together. But, how do I tell if I'm looking at a small wolf or a large coyote? There are Timber(Grey) wolves here in northern WI and as much as I'd like to, I don't want to shoot a wolf by mistake while coyote hunting. Is there an easy way to tell "on the fly"?
