critter call PEE WEE

Don't know about snowshoe hair country but here in Kentucky they work great on yotes, fox, and bobcats. I have called in several predators and killed with the pee-wee. Especially in the wooded areas. The call is not near as loud as some and it sounds great to not blast them out with sound.

Major sent me a Pee Wee in Janurary of 1995 and I have used it ever sense. It has been my constant companion from Africa to Alaska and many places in between. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how many coyotes and other predators I have killed with it but I will tell you that I couldn't give any call a higher rating than the Pee Wee.

Good hunting.

Q,

The Pee Wee is easy to blow for both distress and howls. It will make a variety of sounds and it is my contstant companion. I love this call.

I usually will start with the Pee Wee if it's calm or close cover and then change to the song dog. The song dog is my go to call though. I bought the set they sell and seldom carry anything else these days

Q,

Thats as about a good of reference as I can think of. Thanks Q.

It was many years ago when I bought both the PeeWee and Standard call, now the PeeWee goes with me every time I go calling. The Standard just lays in the drawer now, it's only been in the field 2 times.

I think I have 3 of them PeeWees around here somewhere - spares you know!

I agree with all ,Great lil call been using one for years , great for howling like a little guy and can do almost any sound i can think of with it .with a sceery ap-6 and a mini you can do alot of damage . The deer really like it , it makes a great fawn distress.

The main three are with me all the time in the field. the Pee-Wee and Standard on my old dog tag chain around my neck close to the skin, the Magnum is my GO TO howler in my pocket. In my opinion there are no better set of open reed calls made ..... but some of the call makers have decent copies of the reed and sound board sweep that work well, but nothing will displace the Crit-r calls for me.

Thanks for all the replies ... You know how it is when learning , if nothing is happening , everything gets questioned .. That was the first Predator call I bought ,, I,m going to bring one of my deer calls also and try it ....
You guys prolly don,t use the rubber band , but where do you put it for your calling , if you did use it ...????

Hey guys, Who makes the PEE WEE call, how much are they and where can a person buy one. Already have about twenty or so mouth calls, but don't figure it will hurt to get another one - or twenty - more.
Thanks
Tony

gumboot458, I'm with the vast majority on this subject! Great calls for sure! You will find that the sounds that can be produced with the pee wee work great for fox, cats, coyotes, etc...I just hope you dont plan on using that "458" for dispatching your called critters...lol.

I want to hunt with Q so that I can try to make his "collectors edition pee wee" mysteriously disappear! LOL.

I am also positive that once you try the pee wee, your gonna want to get the standard and song dog jr for your lineup. Great calls all the way around.

Good luck and post some pics of those beautiful alaskan predators.

The Pee Wee is as good as there is, they won't blow them out of the country and I have never not placed in a contest when I have used it. The magnum is also worth keeping in your pocket if you call in a lot of wind. Kudos to the Major for keeping us happy.

I agree with the Pee Wee. Had one and loved it. My first custom built calls that I built were to achieve the pitches of the Pee Wee and expand on the volume.

Can't go wrong with that call.

Tony
