Had a chance to try my new howler today and I'd say it's a keeper. I was on my way back from Sedona, AZ after work today and I decided to stop off at a place where I called in a pup a few weeks ago. After two howls from my Cronk Howler, in comes mama(or maybe papa). Of course I didn't have my rifle with me, but I'll definately be going back there either this weekend or next to visit that den again. By the way it was about 3:30 P.M. and about 95 degrees.
It's the smoothest sounding howl I've ever heard and it blows real easy. It don't look too bad either /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif . Great job Rich /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Too bad it's not as pretty as my Cronk Howler. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Really though, he does a great job doesn't he? Congrats on your new toy.

You know I never gave much thought to how good a call sounded before I started buying custom made calls. Hell, I've called in coyotes with a Yote Buster and that's a pretty lame call. Now it's more like playing a musical instrument. You can play a Aria Pro guitar and get the job done, but after you play a Les Paul Custom, the Aria never leaves the case. It just makes you "feel" better. Anyway, thanks again Rich.

Nice howler looks like mine. I going to AZ in a couple of weeks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know it's going to be hot so I hope I can get some of those dogs to come running when I blow that Cronk howler.

I too want to thank Rich for a Great howler. Excellent sound and very nice workmanship. My little Buffalo Horn howler lured several sheep killers to their death this summer.

Hey there Hitman,
I heard that you was dead! Turns out that you was just in Wyoming. LOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Glad to hear that the buffalo horn is still sucking them in for you pardner.

Ok, I'm really rarin to go now. Was going to work in North Scottsdale today and decided to take a little side road and call a couple city dogs. For you locals it was just off Lone Mountain Rd. and Hayden. Well anyway I get out of the truck and walk a little ways down a path and squat down next to a boulder with my new Cronk Howler and Rhino. After a few lone howls I let it settle for a few minutes and went into a little bunny tune on the Rhino. I saw the first one come over the hill at about 75 yards and lip squeaked him to a stop and what do you know, four of his brothers went right past him. That's my first quintuplet ever. I was so excited I had to have been shakin like a leaf. They didn't hang around very long though. They winded me at about 50 yards and were gone. Damn I love this stuff. Thanks Rich and Jay for your fine work. I think this is going to be a very good year.

Tonlocus, I noticed the pic of your howler, does it have an insert for the mouthpiece? My howler tone board is cut into the horn.

Hi Rob and Rich,
That rumor about me being dead is completely false. I've just been too busy to stop in and see what you guys are up to. It' slowing down now, so I'll check in more often.
