Cross Bow??

For the record, I ordered a Leupold crossbow scope, and Nikon makes one also. (Not sure if you misunderstood or not).

Ever "tweak" any crossbow triggers? What crossbows have the best triggers in your opinion? I like Tenpoint. My new one is supposed to be 3.5 lbs. I figure I may slick it up a bit if necessary.....

Yeah I misunderstood, didn't realize they made crossbow scopes.

I haven't had the nerve to mess with a crossbow trigger. All that pressure against the mechanism is why I figured they were heavy with long creep.

I have never shot a Excalibur or ten point, but of middle end bows I like the Parker trigger the best, that is ultimately why I got the one that I did.

I have heard that ten point is the best with some models as far as the trigger.

The trigger on my older Tenpoint Titan is as good or better than my bud's Tornado. However, Parker just redesigned their triggers and the trigger on my other bud's Tornado F4 is better than the older Tornado. It is still around 4.5 lbs.(at best), methinks. I'm hoping the new Turbo XLT II is 3.5 lbs as advertised. Have not used one yet.

I'm thinking I could definitely smoothen it up, if need be. However, actually lightening the pull weight may be another story as far as safety is concerned. Maybe I will give Tenpoint a call on Monday. Good chance they will advise against it though, just like all firearms mfg. do. Triggers are easy to screw up for those who do not know what they are doing. And a poorly executed job can be catastrophic. Hard for them to tell what kind of person they have on the other end of the phone, so they usually just tell you not to do it.

I have tweaked enough triggers in my time though, and am confident I can at least produce a smoother trigger pull without screwing it up.......

Here is last years 8 pt with my Wicked Ridge Invader, at 34 yds. ranged. He went about 65 yds and plowed into those trees and fell over. From the looks at the crime scene, it looked like he got spun around at the last second and hit it sidewaqys. He was laying about 8 ft. to the side of the tree.
