Crows With An E-caller?

I've never done it. Is this a shotgun deal, shooting them on the wing or do you manage to get them to roost & pick them off with a rifle?

A shotgun on the fly is the most productive and fun way.
Try some #7 1/2s.
If you have got it, the Johnny Stewart crow & owl fight has been my go to call for----ever.

Take a shotgun and a rifle. They will come in fast and close in the beginning. You can pop some with the shotgun real quick. When they figure it out they like to sit out in the trees out of shotgun range. Pick up your rifle and become crow sniper. Make sure you hide well. Have fun.

well, a very generous friend has donated a Fury for me to hunt with for a while. After the PM hunt, back here I'll be hunting predators, hogs & crows for a while with it. While I've called crows in with mouth calls, I've never intentionally targeted them with an ecaller.

I'm ure we're going to have a ton of fun with that

I did this over the weekend. I set up my WA21 about 30yds away and off to the side some. I also used my mojo and slipped just into the tree line. I started with mobbing sounds then switched to crow distress sounds. I switched back and forth and never turned it off. Had several hours a day shooting them. I used a full choke and #6 cheap walmart loads. Earleir in the week I set up an owl decoy and several dead crows and played owl/crow fighting and crow dying sounds, killed quite a few then also. With crows I have found cover and not moving help a lot.

They are actually quite tasty, I just can't get past the thought of it being a crow. But HEY!, a yote has got to eat too. I don't yote hunt, but I feed plenty of them!

Here is a few taken with JS sounds.

No cause I can't cook for nothing.
By the way I used one of Bob Aronsohn's sounds and I killed those crows in the bottom picture in 9 minutes.

I hear ya!! I hunted over in Beinvelle (sp) this afternoon! Started in Madison County, then to Rankin, and ended in Scott. Killed 82 total today. You know, Port Gibson would be a nice place to hunt if it just had a few hill and a few more deer
