Crows With An E-caller?

Thats some good shooting to get that many... the problem I always have in the National forest is finding good spots to set-up. Are you using decoys?

Also Stu just to let you know that yes I am officialy high-jacking your thread... but its to help enlighten you.

This was my first try at run and gun. I used 1 Buster. Just hitting the clearings. Only 16 came from Bein. My 8 yr old son got 3 as they were screaming through the trees. I was proud of him. Very tough shooting in the tall timber for such a little fellow.

We go over there once ot twice a year for a day and run and gun and if the conditons are right we get 20 to 30 crows... just something to do while visiting the family. My Dad still loves to get out and shoot stuff.

I would thats a great start for an 8 y/o.......you know inside him he wants to beat you....good times I am sure

I've had pretty good results having crows respond when using a mouth call. Of course, they're flying overhead while I'm holding a rifle...

After the PM hunt I'm getting out with my friend to call some crows.

I use a combo of both hand calls and E-calls. I start with the hand call and work into the e-call. I will add some hand calling to the e-sounds like a death cry to bring them back after they have been shot at. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

As far as Noah wanting to out shoot me, that will surely happen one day at the rate he is taking to wing shooting. 3 out of 7 is 43%. I shot 61% (76 out of 125) and I have 33 years of experience on him.
