Custom 700 or commercial x bolt? 6.5 PRC or 6.8 western

No, it'll work just fine as is.

Personally, I'd do a 6.5x47 Lapua and skip all the other unneeded fanfare with the expected ranges involved.

Yep, same bolt, like Al its pains me to say it but if you don't reload, 6.5 crapmoore is a nice round. 260 is a better option IMO but only if you reload.

That really is the easy button, since you already have the action work done.

Correct.

Alf, i looked through all the messages i had from the guy i bought it from and never found it. The only comment i saw was that it was slower than i wanted. I suppose there has to be a way to figure it out. Use a brush on a good cleaning rod and measure how many inches it takes to get a full revolution?

They put one of their 14 twist fluted barrels on it. It has a jewel trigger on it and a vias muzzle break. Package comes with dies, about 50 loaded rounds and some extra brass (Lapua). Load data included. I bought this gun a few months ago and have not shot it. My wife has had several surgeries on her back the last 4 months and doctor bills are piling up. The rifle has less than 100 rounds on it. Photo's available if requested....Bob.
