We'd like to welcome back Custom Call Builder Bryan Speed (aka. Timbertoes). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Bryan runs Gee-B Game calls and has been a long time call builder that took a break. He was well known for his laminated calls.

Please give a warm welcome to Bryan!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Hellooo! and thanks so much!

Some of my best times were here on the board and making calls. You all have done a great job at keeping this place, the place to be /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I am eager to start working on some calls, for sure.
Probably wont make a whole lot of calls, can't stay up to 2AM like I used too...hehe.

Have spent this year with my Camera, doing some Motocross Photography, and taking Photography classes.
That will continue to take up a lot of my weekends, at least on Sundays.

I go out and call about once every couple-three weeks, but with camera in hand....darn thing is, I got NUTTING to show for it!! Rifle range vs. Camera Range...sure aint the same thing.

Anywho, sure look forward to sharing my work and ideas, as you all have done so much, in the past.

Best Regards,
Bryan

Glad to see you back. I bought a really pretty birdseye maple and purpleheart open reed distress back in Jan of 06 and I love it. Put some more of your beautiful calls up for us to admire and buy.

This is great news! Bryan made the best deer antler open reed I own. Have a few laminated calls from '05 and they are still beautiful and sound sweet. Particularly excellent tone boards.

Hiya Eric, Your closed reed call was one of my favorites...until the day came that I could not find it!! DANG. I think I need to snoop over at SongDogSnipers house...he was with me the last time I used it, I could tell he was real jealous. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I gotta find that call!

I probably own the largest Timbertoes call collection. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif His initial introduction of the Bloodwood with intriquite laminated band calls was a memorable time on PM and I snatched quite a few up.

Tony

hehe, I bet every piece of bloodwood, that I have leftover, is all split....
that stuff has to be worked and finished asap.

Ought to be fun taking inventory tonight. Boxes of Wood and Antler everywhere.

Over the past while, I did find that a big stick of Purpleheart makes a FINE Hammer. !!

I used one to get the cases apart, and back together on a 1977 Bultaco Dirt Bike.

definatly start simple... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif gotta figure out how not to hurt myself first /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Bryan, good to see you back! For the folks that don't know it, I had the privilege(make that "honor"), of carving on one of Bryans calls a good while back. The call was auctioned off for Predator Masters. I still get nervous thinking about cutting into that beautiful call! Bryan definitely sets the bar high! Welcome back my friend!
Dave

Bryan, glad you back.....since I learned from you. You like my call making father..... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Lets see what ya got.

Jeff
