Custom calls... how do they rate?

Rich's, here we go again. I'm still having trouble with a recent post on another forum where you guys started the topic of group hooter howls. I'd pay to see that, and, as a matter of fact, I think I did at a bachelor's party a few years back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Tony, you can shoot me an email. You and Curt must be in cahoots (no hooter pun intended) and pulling a fast one on me. I am getting emails from others, although I have no idea how many don't make it on the screen.

I suggest you remove all reference to penile enhancers, mortgage loans, septic tanks and Asian women prior to sending emails. Hooter material OK since Rich brought the subject up and we most definitely wanna stay on topic.LOL

Krusty... I would need to do some digging but I could find one. Closed reed calls. Weren't pretty at all and were rather butt ugly which reminds me... Hey Cronk! You never really 'splained how you keep hooters from freezing up.

Lance, you old rec stretcher. What were you and RH doing when you came up with that one? Which of you two does the tuning?LOLOLOLOL Get some Olive wood. You'll like it.

BradH, that howler on the bottom right looks just like one of Lance's "BIOYA' howlers.I'm surprised your wife would let you keep it in the house. We store our's in a jug of coyote urine to take the edge off of it.

Battlescarred, I brought a picture of Al Luxs calls back to the top over in the Predator Calling forum. Big close up even. Be sure and check out Jays too. They are purdy calls also.

Krusty, I love custom calls. Maybe I will see you at the rendezvous and I will elaborate further. I would be honored to try one of your calls.

You're gettin' close... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif you removed the ".orig.jpg" but you didn't add the command tags (these [] things) and one set should have IMG in it at the beginning, and one set should have /IMG at the end (the slash is the "off switch") or you can use the image tag on the post window...

We'll get ya there Cal, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif posting pics took a while for me to get the hang of...

Here's how I do it:
I get to the post window, and then I hit ctrl+N at the same time... this opens a "new window" just like the one I am in. In this new window find the original photo I want to post (which you already know will open in yet another window)... when I got it I I click on the address of the original (turning it blue)... then I hit ctrl+C at the same time (copy), and then click my way back to the post window (using the task bar at the bottom)...
Once back in the post window I click on "image"... hit ctrl+V (paste)... here's where it get's tricky, IF YOU ARE USING IMAGESTATION you have to remove ".orig.jpg" from the end of the address (you don't have to remove anything for "borrowed" smilies) and then click OK.

The code for the image should now appear in your post window.

If ANY of you guys need help with pictures please give me a yell, I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.

Thanks for the pic. I just got my return e-mail from Al and my order goes in the mail on Monday. He-e-mailed me apic as well. I am still waiting for a reply from Kevin from K-Kalls. Thanks again for your help. And I am trying to put together a little side money for one of Jay's and one of Rich's calls. It gets a little tight. I love tinkering and enhancing my guns too!!!!

When I received my calls I instantly recognized the quality in craftsmanship, and tone. That page and any changes you might see to it in the future, is no more than the extra couple of dollars you leave on the table for the waitress that busted her hump to make sure you didn’t ever see the bottom of your coffee cup. I have no idea what the value of that page is to Lance.

I offered it under “free-no-obligation terms” and that is the way it will remain.
 
Thanks ALL!! for the kind words and the support. I got hurt at work and now comeing back to life. Back to work. First time on PM in over a month. Hope to talk to you all more offen now. I agree about custom calls I have a few different custom calls as well as my own pluse proto types of new calls that I use and try out. Calling now For Photos. I Think custom is the only way to go! I actually missed it before I had posted.

I have been working on trying to get a webpage together, and getting absolutely nowhere (until Screamer came to my rescue) so I know how much work , and how much space one page can take up.

My hat is in my hand, I’m sorry I read more into your comment than what was really there. If I spouted off like a jerk, I apologize to the other members as well.

I have benefited from those few that have gone on and read some of my stories. I would like to think that they stirred a memory for the more experienced guys, and let the less experienced guys know that they are not alone in the struggle to become more consistent. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
