This beautiful 22-250rem also belonged to the gunsmith that rechambered the Kimber 82G to 22 short I posted earlier. Sadly I bought this rifle for a measly $175 simply because it had tape residue on the stock and the butt plate was missing. So after a little TLC with some hoppe's #9 the residue is gone and I made a new butt plate. I think this one will be carried on my coyote adventures this fall! from what I can tell its a FN commercial mauser action with an unknown maker 1-14" twist 24" 22-250 Remington barrel and dual set triggers of unknown make. I even got a 50 count MTM box with the reloading data and about 10 loaded rounds using 63 grain sierra soft points and 200'ish pieces of fired brass.

thanks for the kind words guy, yea I think I got a steal on it LOL. I modified a set or Remington bases to fit and mounted up my backup Nikon 3-9x40 buckmasters. I am hoping to hit the range this weekend to test her out.

Got a scope mounted and took a better picture of her. Initial load testing will be Hornady 55 grain spire points over Benchmark in Remington brass with CCI 200 primers. As funds allow the mounts will be switched to Talley LW lows and the scope will be replaced with a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40 CDS.

ONe heck of a nice rifle!!!!

Probably a Douglas barrel.

I would urge you to use Varget with the 200's and 55's. Tiny, tiny groups and very, very fast(3700-3800)!

I use benchmark with the 50's, over book max load around 3800 fps

Ackleyman, I have 8 pounds of varget on standby but my other 22-250 loves benchmark and I tend to keep a ton of it on hand for my 223's so im trying it first.

I've bought 3 Mauser action heavy barrel DST over the years, they all shot under an inch at 100 yds. The Gunsmiths back in the day that made these made them beautiful and accurate!!! If you have 8208 xbr give it a try, IMR 3031 too. A very fine purchase sir!!
