Here's some pics of my CZ I purchased off of GB. The wood looked just OK in the pictures online. When I got her home, I applied several coats of Scratch-X and Howard's Feed & Wax and the wood popped right to life. I hoping she shoots as good as she looks. I had a Mueller 3X10-44 Extreme that I put on her. I'll post up some range results when I sight her in.

Ha! You know exactly what I plan to do with this gun. Groundhogs, crows, raccoons, squirrels, and maybe a fox.

Actually the scope on this one is the scope I was going to lend you. Sorry, I've rescinded the offer.

Gotta ask - Scratch X - Yes ..Williams Feed & Wax?

I have a 452 Varmint in .17 HMR w/a Brooks trigger kit-shoots great. Visit rimfirecentral.com for info on a newer trigger kit from YoDave .inexpensive and and makes a world of difference, IMHO. Brooks kind of went South on deliveries..his kit still great however YoDave is a stand up guy, so I hear.

Nice wood. I have a Simmons 6-20X WTC on my 452..honking big objective..I like it, PD's not so much.

Don't forget me on Williams Feed & Wax.

SORREEEEE..see now was HOWARDS Feed N Wax

Unk,

I see you answered your own question but thought I would try to help. Here's a link to Howard's Feed & Wax. http://www.howardproducts.com/feednwax.htm
Great stuff if you get a chance to use it on your stocks. I purchased mine at Home Depot. Don't bother asking one of the helpers there. They have no idea what your talking about. Go to the stain and wood finishing isle and it should be the. I want to say it was around $8 bucks. Good luck and thanks for looking at my thread.

The groundhogs are going to hate that rifle come next summer. I'm anxious to see how it groups.

You did a really nice job on that stock, very nice.

I want to say I paid $380 delivered for this one. If you shop around on Gunbroker.com, you can get a fair deal. Good luck and let us know if you get something.

David- Thanks for the compliments.

I had one that was an absolute tack driver with Hornady ammo. 1/4" 5 shot hole at 50 yards, however it wouldn't feed worth a [beeep]. Tried all the magazine tricks, new mags feed ramp polishing etc and still no joy.

Didn't have much use for a single shot so it was sold.

Hope yours shoots better than mine. I just bought a cz452heavy barreled american sept 1st 5 shots at 100 yards average was about 1.8inches some groups were worse hornandy 30gr 3 inch groups thats with glass bedding and a trigger job set at 2lb

Its at cz right now getting an accuracy test their policy is 1 inch at 50 yard average so it might get fixed might not

anyways nice rifle Your stock if much nicer than mine
